Creative Color Design

Im calling this project "Ocean" because it is based of of the ocean The subject is a turtle based off of a turtle. I chose to create this specific work because it reminds me of summer. For materials I used acrylic paint, I also used a sharpie to outline the shapes. I used a variety of methods including painting. While creating this work I paid close attention to the colors by mixing them to shades and tints I like. I wanted my artwork to look clean and I did that by using the sharpie at the end to outline the shapes. To add interest to my composition I used balance by spreading out the dark and light colors. I like the way my project turned out and I am proud of the turtle. However, I struggled with the sharpie pen and trying to make sure that the colors were in the lines. If I created another work like this I might do it on a bigger canvas so I can paint the smaller shapes better. My work shows that I learned how to mix shades and tints.
