Oil Pastel Color Study

I am calling this project Eiffel Tower because that is what it is of. The subject is the Eiffel Tower based on a picture from the internet of the Eiffel Tower. I chose to create this piece of work because I thought that it had a lot of different colors. For materials I used oil pastel. I used a variety of techniques and methods including blending. While creating this work I paid close attention to the color accuracy by having the printed picture right next to it. I wanted my artwork to look neat and I did that by making sure not to blend multiple squares together. To add interest to my composition I used different shades of colors by mixing the oil pastels. I wanted my artwork to look accurate and I did that by using the gridding method. I like the way that there is not two colors next to each other and I am proud of the over all project. However I struggled near the bottom when the colors got dark. If I created another work like this I might chose a picture with less blue. My work shows that I learned how to mix colors.
