Blind Contour

For this assignment we received a blank piece of paper and made blind contour drawings. One of the blind contour drawings was one of my hands and as you can see it is the bottom teeth of the fish. Then we did a blind contour self portrait and that is what I turned into a mermaid. And finally we did a blind contour of our partner and I turned that into a crab. In this piece I decided to do an ocean setting with things that people may think of when they see an ocean. I decided to make this an ocean theme because when I think of the ocean I think of summer and summer is unfortunately coming to an end. I created this piece by making all the blind contours in sharpie then I also made my outlines of characters in sharpie. Then I colored in everything with watercolor.

Overall I am pretty happy with how this turned out I really like how the colors came together and also I like the overall idea of the picture. If there was one thing I would change it would be to fix up my crab because I do not like how you can see through the red and see some of my blind contour that did not want to be able to see.
