I am calling this project camp because it is based off of my camp. The subject is landscape based off of my camp. I chose this specific work because it had good shadows. For materials I used ink for the mountains, then I used charcoal for everything else. I used a variety of techniques and methods including gridding to make it more accurate. While creating this work, I paid close attention to shadows by comparing it to the actual picture it was based off of. I wanted my artwork to look realistic I did this by making sure I blended everything together so you couldn't see the squares from gridding. To add composition to my work I used contrast to make sure you could see the details. I like the was the dock turned out and I am proud of the overall project. However I struggled with the sky. If I created another piece like this I may try add more shadows. My work shows that I learned how to use charcoal and ink in projects.
