What Happened to Mystery Doug?
By King Maldonado and Taj Gantz
In 2010, Schacht joined Facebook as a product manager and launched an updated version of News Feed in 2011. He left the company in 2012. During his time at Facebook he was a named inventor on nine patents. In 2013, Schacht co-founded Mystery Science with Doug Peltz.
On the day of July 1st 2023, Mystery Doug unfortunately retired but good news is that people are still able to access the website. But sadly, they are not making any new videos. Another good thing is that they are still hard at work on the website Mystery Science. They plan to post mini lessons but other than that general videos are a no-go.
Other websites we could use to pursue our scientific questions are Project Noah, BrainPOP, NOVA Labs, National geographic Kids, and Mrs. Doran’s favorite, Generation Genius.
In conclusion, we sadly have to say goodbye to Mystery Doug but that doesn't stop us from learning about science. We have other science websites and we can use anything to learn. So just because Mystery Doug has ended, it doesn't mean our curiosity has to.
