Earth- A Poem

By Leah Shusterman

There was a crash

Then a scream

More crashes

Less screams

Soon enough it was silence

The waves swayed in fury

Back and forth

Buildings crumbled

Even the trees shook with anger

The ground snapped with rage

Forests burned in envy

Wind pushes people down

The sky hailed smashing anything it touched

Adults abandoned their families

Kids were left alone

Everyone for themselves

Life now has no meaning

People hurt the earth

The earth hurts people
