2013 Victoria Primary Open Final

Mount View Primary School won the 2013 Victorian Primary Open Inter-school Final with a massive 33.5 points out of a possible 35 points. The school team comprises of Kris Chan, Lius Chan, Hamish Jones, Leon Chen and Alex Fan. Runner up was Waverley Christian College with Cassandra Lim, Christopher Lim, Althea Wong, Charlie Song and Matthew Wong. Third was Deepdene Primary School with Tianli Zhang, Stuart Lumpreiks, Xavier Jassal, Bennett Baker and Cedric Fun.
The best individual board prizes are:
Board 1: Kris Chan 6.5/7 (winning on countback from David Cannon of Ivanhoe PS)
Board 2: Lius Chan 7/7
Board 3: Hamish Jones 7/7
Board 4: Leon Chen 7/7
Board 5: Alex Fan 6/7 (winning on countback from Rowan Mikosza of Melbourne Montessori School)
Mount View Primary School will be representing Victoria in the Australian Chess Federation Australian Schools Teams Championship Finals at Somerset College, Gold Coast on the weekend of 7/8 December 2013.
