2020 CV Junior Rapid Tournament

2020 Chess Victoria Junior Rapid Championships

Division: (Boys and Girls in separate Division): Those born from 2002 to 2012 or later.

Eligibility: This individual competition is open to players who:

a. are born in the years mentioned above, and

b. have scored at least 4.5 points (top 30%) in any Chess Victoria Zonal Interschool Chess Championship 2019 or have an ACF (Australian Chess Federation) classical or rapid rating in the ACF 2019 December rating list.

c. Players are only allowed to win the trophy in the Division.

Time Control: Each player has 15 minutes.

Date: Sunday 29th March 2020.

Time: 11:30am registration for 12:00pm start. Prize giving at about 4:30 pm.

Venue: Glen Waverley Secondary College, O’Sullivan Road, Glen Waverley.

Public Parking: enter from Snedden Drive

Competition Format: (Organised by Chess Victoria)

a. The Individual Swiss system will be used for the competitions.

b. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 individual players in each division.

Note: Some age groups may be required to be combined if there are insufficient numbers. Awarding of trophies will be according to the ACF by-law

Closing date: Saturday 28^th March 2020 or when the field becomes full. (NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY OF PLAY - Sunday 29^th March)
