The Victorian women's Chess Championship revived

dates 2012 September 29, 30, and October 6, 7

Chess Victoria announces today that it is the proud recipient of funding from the Department of Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship. The Multicultural Festivals and Events Grant Application was made by our ambassador Katrin Aladjova-Kusznirczuk. The chess community welcomes the announcement and wishes to formally thank the Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship Hon. Nicholas Kotsiras MP and the department for Community Grants Program.

This grant funding will help us and provide substantial assistance to Chess Victoria as it provides important funding for our chess tournament program.

Chess Victoria is very much representative of the multicultural community in Victoria. It is now up to us to make it all happen and in so doing we will formally recognise this generous contribution as part of our tournament program.
