Confused about the question you endure in silence,
Not sure you even want to look for the answer.
And you’re tired of listening to the voices...
The throng of voices telling you what to do.
I feel that too--a lack of trust--the voices have their own agendas.
So many people were untrue--wanting something for themselves.
So I set out on my own search--uncertain where I was or where I’d go,
But determined to search earnestly for something true...something real.
Where to start...what’s the question? I don’t know.
I’ll pick one. Maybe it’s not the question--I just want to go.
Hey! I found some answers! Much more than I bargained for.
They can’t all be right, but some give me new insight!
I found some new questions too, more things to think through.
Life’s much bigger than I’d imagined--infinite possibilities left and right!
Earnestly searching for something real and true,
I feel I’ve stumbled from darkness into light!
Keep searching. You will find truth.
Be skeptical. Consider all possibilities. Choose wisely. Listen to your heart and your head.
Don’t reject anything superficially,
Maybe the answer’s complex, maybe simple
Maybe it will seem nerdy. Maybe it’s on the other side--those people you’ve always assumed were stupid or wrong.
