The weather has finally caught up with us! After last night's thunder and lightning storms, the forecast this morning was for 90% rain. I hoped that meant we had a 90% chance of getting some rain, not that it would rain for 90% of the day!

Sadly, the latter turned out to be more close to the truth!

We left for Sea World today. I'd hoped to ride the new Manta coaster today as, according to the Sea World web site, they were doing previews at the moment (and have been since 5th of May). However, when I arrived I was greeted with this.

After I asked about it, I was told they were actually doing the promotion filming for the ride today. Indeed there were a couple of camera crews situated around the ride. The ride was running, but I'm assuming they were using actors / relatives on the ride because the public were not being allowed near the entrance. We were told that if they finished early enough then the ride would be re-opened. Sadly, due to the bad weather we had today, I doubt they even had a chance to finish their filming. The light was really bad from the moment we got there and it started to rain steadily from noon onwards.

We did get to see the Shamu show and looked at some exhibits, but most of the bigger rides were closed for long periods of time - I guess this was because of the danger of lightning strikes (although I didn't see lightning at all today). I certainly wouldn't want to be on to of Kraken when the lightning starts to hit around us!

We left around 3pm and headed back homewards. Stopping off for a hour at the Orlando Premium Outlets. I got a couple of items... just one or two.

Linda did some of her ironing (yes! even on holiday!!) then we went out for something to eat at TGI.

By the time we came back out, the rain had finally stopped.
