As Yule is upon us a story of friendship, understanding and warmth has reached us from the far Northern Grey Mountains, where a young guard master (of the Twenty-First Rockbeater Regiment) by name of Sturi Broadfoot has befriended a local ice-bear.

The bear, going by the name Norbert, abandoned by its mother became the mascot of the tiny regiment stationed at one of the orc-camp lookouts that scatter the Northern Grey Mountains. When orcs attacked on the eve of the last new moon, the bear protected its dwarvish masters and with one swing of his paw knocked the heads off four goblins. Norbert has since been named honorary guard master of the regiment.

Sturi, who takes care of the bear had this to say: "We've known Norbert for years now, he's just one of the lads up here. Most of us aren't too fond of animals, but Norbert is different." Shortly after Sturi was shouting at Norbert for sipping from one of their kegs again, one of the lads indeed!

It is clear that the spirit of Yule, where friends of all races and breeds come together has found this tiny camp, may it be an example for all of us!
