Ered Luin rejoices as Guardmaster Brasli kills the Dirty Dourbeards

After two months of robbing caravans and reaping havoc on the traders of the Blue Mountains and Needlehole the Dirty Dourbeards have at last been caught and killed. In fact is was the Head of the 'Abanhund (Gondamon) Guard, Brasli, son of Vrasli, that first apprehended the four-some.

He had this to day to the Tablets of Khazadgund:

We were hot in pursuit since that last caravan they robbed just west of Needlehole. This scum had injured too many already, they were bound to kill sooner or later, and it was my mission to stop them at all cost. Last week Lord Dwalin had offered an additional garrison in our support and with that it was only a matter of time before we got them. Thus this morning, on the bridge over the Lune we had cornered them. Our objective was to bring them in for a trail, but it seems the Dirty Dourbeards had other plans as they attacked our regiment on the east end of the bridge head on.

To our surprise, they fought their way through our barrage, injuring three of our company and ran down the banks of the Lune. It was then I gave the archers the signal to shoot. We couldn't take any chances, yet amazingly they still ran on for quite a bit with arrows piercing their backs. We later found the Dirty Dourbeards dead near a cave along the Lune banks, which they apparently had dug out. To our joy, once we broken open the seal of the door, we found the goods the four-some had stolen during these two months. The dwarves of the Blue Mountains can once again trade and traffic without worry, now these four are no longer a worry.

It has been decreed that any caravan owner that was robbed of his goods in the past two months must report to Gondamon at once, where the guardmaster Brasli will oversee the return of the stolen good (bring proof of ownership of any goods in addition to a recent record of the caravan coin).
