Tumunzahar's Royal Library in the Blue Mountains has always been a well kept secret of the Firebeards. Lost at the end of the first age when the lands of Beleriand crumbled, rebuilt at the end of the third age when many of the Firebeards returned and rebuilt their ruined halls of old, it took centuries to painstakingly find the ancient parchments, restore them and place them in their proper home, as many had been moved to libraries of fellow clans.
Yet, what had become the pride of many a wise Firebeard scholar was violently disturbed at dawn two days ago, when supposedly a local mining crew had delved too close to the main chamber of the library. As a result, the very walls shook, and rock and debris flowed in without mercy.
Royal Libary of Tumunzahar in tatters.
Head librarian Duri Fine-eye barely held his tears and fury: "Years of work destroyed because of incompetence of a handful of unruly miners. I will have them in chains I tell you... wait till I speak to the King on this matter!" Pit-boss Grumlin Strongarm had a very different story however: "We had our orders and my crew is never wrong, we were to mine this passage. Besides, finding precious gems is more important than some stupid books and stuffy scrolls!"
The incident is soon to be discussed in detail before a judges assembly of the Firebeard clan. At this point it is anyone's guess whether the scholars or miners will prevail in this matter.
