Eyes opened wide as Master Kandral showed the competitors of the Dwarrow Dice tournament the special 100-sided dice.
They had all come to be part of the biggest dice event in Thorin's Hall... ever.
The Ale-Hall was so full, people even couldn't get in any more. They had to pull them in and squeeze them in their very seat.
As you can imagine it took quite a while before things got going.
But when it got rolling things became tremendously exciting. Thirty-six rollers at five tables, rolling dice as if their very lives depended on it.
In the end, and after a few nail-biting rounds... three competitors remained, each getting gold for winning their groups.
A dwarf by the name of Bragar of the Blue Mountains Regiment, who seemed well skilled in the art of dice playing and two men.
One a Horse-Lord by the name of Algundr and the other a strange looking lad named Boutchion, the last one seeming to throw impossible dice at the most unbelievable moments.

After 3 rounds it was all tied, each had won one round; first to three rounds would win the Tournament.
But it seemed the Horse-Lord had been playing with the others all along as his skills with the dice surfaced quickly.
Before you could say: "Who dropped that one-hundred-sided-die?" it was all over and Lord Algundr had won the tournament with a 3-1-1 score.
The moon was already peaking in when master Kandral put the medals around the necks of the finalists.
Earlier that evening a stampede of runners had crushed every plant from Gondamon to Thorin's Halls in the Cross Country run.
Here master Hosgrim of Durin's Folk lost by a beard-whisker to a hobbit lass by the name of Kikilaa. The running talent of Kikilaa clearly was not to be underestimated as she had won the silver in the Gondamon Relay Sprint earlier this week. Another hobbit by the name of Hobigar came in third.
A grand day and evening it was again at the Harnkegger, one wonders what today will bring?
