G5: Correcting Fragments

1. Add the missing part: subject or verb

2. Join the fragment to or incorporate the fragment into a nearby sentence

G6: Correcting Run-on sentences:

1. Create two complete sentences by adding a period

2. Join the two sentences by adding a comma and a coordinating conjunction that expresses the relationship

3. Identify the end of one idea and closeness of the relationship to the next idea by adding a semicolon

4. Add a subordinating conjunction to establish the relationship between the ideas

5. Combine the ideas by revising to incorporate both ideas into one sentence
