Title

The title provides the reader with information, "hint[ing] at the essay's thesis and snar[ing] the reader's attention" (Nadell, McMeniman and Langan 81).

Good titles use one or more of the following techniques:

Repetition of Sounds

Humor

Questions

Straightforward phrases from the essay's subject, thesis or conclusion
