R2H3 Trail Trash #93

Trail #93 - The DIY Covid Self Preservation Trail

posted Apr 17, 2020

Trail Trash #93 - In view of the recent Universal Pandemic of International Bat Flu, the R2H3 decided late at night on 4/10/2020 to lay an impromptu DIY trail starting at Jackson Hill on the regular Hash day. Honor down-down to Hares Bella Cum On Me and Harry Hard Part (back from Colorado for a brief visit). They braved the wonderful weather and wonderful hangovers to lay a dead A to A trail and invited all cummers to explore the shiggy mess at any time throughout the day sans the normal hash cash.

When CBT and yours truly showed up, around 2pm, most of the usual miscreants had already done trail and warned us we were in for a delightful afternoon. The Hares reported that, although they were pre-laying, they were snared making it clear this was going to be a normal Hash day!

CBT and I hit trail leaving the relative safety of Jackson Hill for parts unknown. About a mile into it we found ourselves in front of Olive Garden where the restaurant had set out a beer check for us. After a couple $3 beers we were off again. Along the levy north bound until we found the train trestle across the Oostanaula. Trail brought us under that and through a drainage ditch where CBT managed to give herself a fine batch of PI before we found ourselves behind Oak Hill. Great new trails going in back there! Eventually, the hares brought us back across the river on the Loop before ducking onto the Heritage Trail. A few minutes on that and we were cutting through the yard of Chieftains and crossing Riverside Parkway back into the shiggy. Eventually we hit the tracks behind the City Shop that carried us back to Jackson Hill and then to "A".

It took CBT and me about 2 hours at a snails pace to traverse the thing but it was a fine day to be out for a slow stroll and a beverage.

Circle was of the virtual variety and since we are non-planning wankers, we did not even think to invite everyone to a Zoom call to pass out violations. There were a few posted on the FB group and we were pleased to see that at least the Hares took their punishment.

See you in a month when we hear the Hares exclaim, "COUGH, COUGH, ON-COUGH-ON!" And do not forget we are going to try to get final Friday Happy Hours going again so maybe a Zoom Happy Hour on April 24?

See you all on trail!
