HIS WILL
When we lived in another state, my husband of 10 years said to me it was time to move to Winnemucca, Nv, where we owned 5 acres of cold high desert.
I told him a firm no way, for I did not want to move, I was content doing My Lord's Work and involving our 3 children within His Will.
He informed me that God said for us to do this. I told him that God does not talk to him and that He Talks only to me. He insisted, and insisted, and continued to insist that God wanted us to move to Winnemucca, Nv.
So, I fasted and prayed for 7 days, and on the seventh morning, I turned to His Word, and I read, (back then I read only a verse, now I read complete chapter(s), "flee to the mountains"
I refused to concede His Words as well. After three days of pondering on what to do, I fasted and prayed again for 1 day. The next morning, I turned to His Word: "flee to the mountains" within another Book of His Gospels.
Again, I refused to listen. I gave God 10 things He had to do, in order, for me to believe that He wanted me to "flee to the mountains", which was the first item on my list, to heal the rift between my neighbor, that had been going on for over 5 years. Within 2 weeks her and I were reconciled. Another item on the list was for my husband and me to be remarried in a church. And in order of my requests within my list, it had happened. Another was to find a happy and useful home for our 1906 upright piano. Again, in order of request, it was done. Also, for our three children to go on a retreat, as we had no finances for this. We were giving the piano away, the lady from our church insisted very firmly to pay $250.00 for this piano that only needed a tuning, and it was the exact amount that was needed for our children to go. This same lady sold our home; she was intent on this task, she was on a mission to get us going on our Pilgrimage as soon as possible. So, it went, again and again, because in my doubt, I added to His List of my lack of Faith in Him. My unbelief turned to respect and awe in My God that has always had a Firm Guiding Hand in my life.
So, here we are going over 30 years in Winnemucca, Nv. Such is His Will.
