He Gave Thanks

{Luke 9:16 NIV}

The Loaves and Fishes of the miracle distribution to the five thousand people was shared from a little boy’s lunch, 5 small barley loaves and 2 small fish. {John 6:8-9} All of The 4 Gospels reveal the miracle of five thousand fed. The Gospels of Matthew and Mark also reveal an additional feeding of four thousand people not too long afterwards within these scriptures.

Jesus gave thanks to God first and foremost before each Disciple distributed The Loaves and Fishes to the people. The people encompassed not just men, but women and children as well. Everyone ate until they were full. Until they were satisfied. The collection of what was leftover remained at twelve baskets full of broken pieces after feeding the five thousand and then 7 baskets full of fragments again after feeding the four thousand. A truly spectacular moment for each episode.

All in all, Jesus’ Disciples didn’t understand the miracles of The Loaves and Fishes. When praying and turning to this awesome miracle it is easy to figure an overabundance of God’s Goodness in one’s life and of financial gain possibly. I would accept onto all that our Creator LORD Jesus has to offer me and believe His Great Goodness will be forever in my life.
