Proclamation of the Birth of Christ is intoned by the deacon from the chancel step (or ambo), after the Kyrie and before the Gloria. (See DWM 1069).

The acolyte reads the Epistle.

Christmas form is used at the Communicantes (DWM pg. 638)

Because the Gospel of the Day is taken from the Prologue to the Gospel of John, the Last Gospel is omitted at this Mass. Gospel of St Matthew may be substituted. (See DWM 1058)
