Epiphanytide

Epiphanytide refers to the liturgical season from the Feast of the Epiphany to the beginning of Pre-Lent (starting with Septuagesima).

Depending on the dates of the Epiphany and Ash Wednesday, the Sundays of Ordinary Time in Epiphanytide may number between four and nine. By the traditional reckoning used in the Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter, between Epiphany and Septuagesima there may be as few as one or as many as six Sundays.
