"Where I'm From" Digital Story
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9Ht5D9slOU
I’m from the City by the lake
With the lighthouse, a beacon
The place I call “home”
I’m from music
Where the aggressive guitars of rock
And the thundering drums of metal
And the tenacious trumpet of jazz fill the air
Providing an escape from the mundane, the everyday, every which way.
I’m from video games after supper,
From running around the fresh-cut grass, water spraying in every direction,
I’m from story time
Shooting hoops in the driveway
Running up the stairs on hands and feet
To escape the Laundry Room Monster
I’m from the Rugrats,
Power Rangers,
Arthur,
And the crazy square who lives in a pineapple under the sea
I’m from playing in the pillows of freshly fallen leaves
To splashing around in a far too small kiddie pool
I’m from hard work, kindness, and generosity
I am from me
