RYAN

Hey, everyone!

I'm Ryan Stinchcomb, and I am a graduate student here at Purdue Northwest. I began teaching ENGL 104 last year and it was such a rewarding experience. Along with that, it was also a very humbling learning experience. Therefore, I was incredibly excited and anxious to begin the Writing Project. These last few weeks have been extremely informative and quite helpful in trying to develop new techniques and methods to use in the classroom. I am so grateful to have met everyone, experience their demo lessons, and learn about their stories. I will take what I have learned in this workshop and put them to good use in the near and distant future.

A little about me: I am a huge music lover (as most people in the class already know). My favorite genre of music is metal. It is incredibly expressive, emotional and powerful, and I simply feel good when listening to any type of metal. Along with music, I also play the drums and trumpet, although the trumpet has been silent for quite sometime. I have a yellow labrador, Toby, who is my best friend. I also have a YouTube channel where I play video games and commentate on the gameplay.

Once again, this workshop has been such a wonderful experience for this young instructor. I hope to keep in touch with everyone from the Institute!
