Williams Crosscountry 1919
Plans made for five cross country meets: two dual meets, one triangular, the New England and National Intercollegiate Cross Country Meets. Williams' registration for the Nationals is pending. It was proposed that the National meet be run at Franklin Park in Boston on the same day as the Harvard-Yale football game. The following men have been training since College opened:
Cpt Brown, Parker, and Platt '20
Coan, Crofts, and Kellogg '21
Adams and Wolfe '22
Williams' membership in the Eastern Intercollegiate Association was allowed to lapse some years ago, so a new application is required which will not be acted upon until the February meeting of the Association. Instead, Williams will run in the invitation cross-country meet at Syracuse. Parker '20 was forced to discontinue track work by order of his physician. Proposed meets include Springfield YMCA College at Williamstown or MAC at Amherst on 1 November. Union will run at Weston Field on 8 November and it is possible that a team from RPI will also be entered.
Final schedule announced on 24 October included All-Eastern Intercollegiate Cross-Country meet at Syracuse, a dual meet at Amherst with Massachusetts Agricultural College, a home meet with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and the NEICAA meet in Boston.
