The Record (Haverford) 1939, p65
In Cross-Country, Jim Bready has not only been our class' most consistently outstanding performer, but, in addition, he was instrumental in regaining for this sport its recognition as a Varsity activity with regular Varsity awards being made. This last season, with Bready as captain, the harriers had a fair record.
