25 November 1903, Intercollegiate Cross Country @Travers Island, 6 1/4 miles
three lap course, included about forty jumps of varying kinds
The laps consist of 1/4 mile upgrade over macadam road, 3/4 mile through rough woodland with a stone wall and two fences to be cleared, a ten foot jump over a brook, another bit of road, 1/2 mile more of irregular woodland running with more fences, and an upgrade stretch of road at the end. After the final lap there is a twelve foot water jump followed by 220 yards of cinder track to the finish.
