Considering interactions between metabolomes of symbiotic relationships in nature will ultimately allow us to understand and appreciate the complexity of biological networks. We believe in holistic living, this includes considering the whole of oneself in mind, body and spirit. Holistic lifestyles begin with respecting oneself and the instrument (talents) we have been given. Then that respect is extended to all other life on this earth. We take from the Earth when and what we must (metabolism/anabolism) but give it back in a different form (catabolism).
We aim to assist others in bringing the fruits of the Earth to the table through cultivating knowledge. There will be a shortage of food soon. Food security will be a high priority in the near future. We should pay attention to this because it directly impacts us as a population. Farming can be the solution to our obesity epidemic. Supply chain management can be simplified by taking advantage of the energy already arriving from outer space right to our doorstep. When plants are raised locally, long-range transportation and storage of food is eliminated, it is a better use of our Earth's resources. Below is a list of progress toward bringing food from the garden to the table in the form of various experiments and recipes that we have tried and continue to improve through learning along with feeling healthier. In addition, there are a list of questions about plants and food with links to various resources--either website or pdf format to improve your Wellness. Lastly, there are a list of images for the QR codes that are available to print out for lamination to label your garden. Enjoy!
