Neuroscientists are concerned with understanding the nervous system of the body. Encompassed within the nervous system is the brain, cognitive functions, emotions, the control/release of hormones, reception of signals from the world around us, and integration thereof. The field of Neuroscience is exploding today with results from research due to the emergence of technology to measure brain activity in different settings (different questions being researched by scientists in various academic fields). This range is not just limited to the life and physical sciences, but ranges from Social Sciences through the Physical Sciences onto being correlated with those studies in the Medical Field. As a result, a new understanding of the brain and how the electrical signals produced within coordinate to make life possible is emerging. Additionally, a more precise ability to study the brain will allow us to interpret, alter, and understand human Wellness or Well-Being.
In this section, we hope to provide the community with an education on the unfolding of the understanding of Neuroscience briefly through an introduction (selected topics) and a list of current events either from a research perspective or what is occuring in the media. The interpretations that are presented on this page will be assisted by a proper reference of the author that provides an interpretation/research on any given matter.
