Call for Papers
The International Review of Finance, together with the Nippon Finance Association, is
announcing a call for papers for a conference in Tokyo, Japan, and a special issue of the
journal. The theme for both the conference and the special issue is:
Japanese Financial Markets: Corporate Finance, Institutions, and Investments
Professor Sheridan Titman, McAllister Centennial Chair in Financial Services, University
of Texas at Austin, will join the editors of the journal in organizing the conference and
editing the special issue. The conference will be held July 3 in Tokyo, Japan.
The presenting authors of papers selected for the conference will be paid an honorarium
of USD $2500 if their home institutions are outside of Japan to help cover travel and
accommodation expenses. Travel and accommodation arrangements should be made by
participants.
To submit a paper, please email your paper to Ms. Peggy Ng at peggyng@ust.hk and
indicate that the submission is for the special issue. No submission fee is required at this
stage. Submissions will be desk reviewed and can be rejected without a referee report.
Those that pass the desk review will then be eligible for the journal’s normal review
process, and will be processed further only on payment of the normal submission fee of
USD $125.
.
The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2013.
Authors will be notified no later than April 1 whether their papers are selected for the
conference. Selection for the conference indicates a higher likelihood of inclusion in the
special issue, but does not guarantee it. Those not selected for the conference will remain
in the review process for inclusion in the special issue.
