Why is the Scottish Football Review taking so long?
Why is it that one person running this site, working on his own, can produce 3 documents on the changes people want to see, in a matter of days and the SFA can’t do it in God knows how many months?
Why can’t we have league reconstruction, and why can’t it be proper league reconstruction with a smaller, more competitive SFL?
Why can’t the SFL clubs play for their right to be in that smaller league, say over a season to add some real competition by giving them plenty time to think about that big drop if they can’t hack it?
Why can’t there be relegation to non-league status to make way for clubs with more ambition?
Why should senior clubs occupy this privileged position when others are more deserving?
Come to think of it, why stop there, why can’t some non-league clubs be given the opportunity to find out how good they really are by a spell of relegation to Junior status?
Why can’t Junior football offer a more vertical league structure that allows the cream to float to the top instead of the flat world region wide league set ups where playing standards sink to the lowest common denominator?
Why can’t the senior league bodies be part of one body as separate business units where they can be held properly accountable and be made to suffer real consequences like the real business world?
Why can’t each league management body be required to justify their decisions on a business case basis instead of cosy consensus?
Why can’t decision making be delegated to the non senior club affiliate members by a devolved regional representational structure, where they can do more good instead of trying to compete at the top level where they are constantly outgunned?
Why can’t the blame be shifted away from managers, coaches, players and referees to the real culprits causing the failures?
Why can’t Scottish football stop this continual discarding of talent by offering a playing structure that talent can just simply participate in, let alone flourish in?
Why can’t youths who are good enough be allowed to play with and learn from older more experienced players?
Why are youths who have represented their country at under 19 level unable to find any progression in the game simply because they are too old at 20?
Why can’t Youth Development be driven right down into the hearts of each community?
Why are clubs allowed to drive youngsters away from the game through sense of failure at 15?
Why do many youngsters who play football have no interest in watching it?
Why can’t clubs be more effectively involved with their communities?
Why can’t we have a simpler top tier structure from the ruling bodies, like in ‘Corporate Governance – A Framework’ proposed by this site, or any other radically restructured solution?
Why can't we have one Rule Book for the 3 senior league structures and simplify inter club transactions?
Why can’t we have positions at the top level with proper roles and responsibilities to deliver a common philosophy from the senior club bodies respective management teams, down to regional level and further on into the communities?
Why can’t we capitalise on the wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm and energies of everyone interested in football and direct this toward driving standards up right through the game?
Why can’t promotion be on merit, and why can’t merit be reflected in not only playing performance but board room performance as well?
Scottish football is supposed to be professional why can’t there be a peer group body for players aimed at setting the bar in terms of professionalism?
Why can’t the SFA address changes within their own ranks as suggested in ‘The Change Ahead’?
Why can’t we have answers to these questions and other questions like them?
Why can’t you people do something about these questions?
Why can’t just one of you admit publicly that we need to talk about these things, or we are finished?
Why can’t you see the alternative, and by confronting the difficult answers so that people are given hope for the future, instead of walking away in their droves in disillusionment?
And for any club Chairmen reading this, these questions are for you as well.
