Feb 2010
Thanks again to all those who have shown an interest in Help Change Scottish Football especially to those who have provided feedback, good or bad.
We hope you will continue to participate and visit the site, as well as inform others of our existence as, we cannot continue to grow or reflect views on a better way forward without contributions and suggestions.
Remember, we need change and we can all contribute somehow. But more than that, we need others to do their bit, so start Networking.
Present Situation
The site URL is now registered as http://www.helpchangescottishfootball.co.uk/ but it will still be some time before it registers on a Google search. Please use this URL if you are telling others about the site and not the old URL mentioned in the January Newsletter.
The reason for this is that we are not launching the site with any kind of promotion tied into a keyword search that will bump up the hit count. We feel it is premature to do this as we still require some time to add further content to the site. At present we have no way of predicting how much content will be added but it is clear that this will take some considerable time whatever that new content is.
From a size of some 8 or 10 pages at our initial launch, the site now totals 35 pages but it is unlikely that this growth rate cannot be sustained but if we can continue at roughly 10 pages a month that will give some indication of how big we intend to grow the site.
Interest in the site has been encouraging but obviously we would like it to be more but we are happy to let the word spread slowly as this indicates that people feel there is some value in the information that the site has to offer and are therefore willing to pass this on to others.
If you are not willing to do this we would certainly welcome feedback from you on why not.
During January, our main priority was to give the site sufficient size and form to give an indication of how the site might grow and our priority was focus more on those who are not involved and in a sense that mean almost everyone. So as the site grows we hope to cover the widest range of involvement as possible and aim this at every level of the game.
Next Steps
Last month we mentioned the possibility of a more interactive site however, we are nowhere near this possibility and have to grow significantly for this to become a reality. But we will continue to re-assess the situation and even if we do not mention this in future newsletters it doesn’t mean we have dropped the idea.
This month we will be looking at the media and including ideas on how it can Help Change Scottish Football as well as looking at Community Development
