Taking action is not just reacting to your own feelings on a subject. It is about going about things in a thoughtful and purposeful manner that is resilient and does not give up when the going gets a bit hard.
When planning your own action, think of it as a journey. Like all journeys it has to start somewhere and end somewhere. So when your train leaves the station, it has to build up momentum slowly, but when you approach your destination, this is the time you need to be most in control, to avoid a wreck when your train hits the buffers.
Do you really have a plan? If not make one
Start small, grow big
Have an objective that is realistic and achievable
Build up momentum by empowering yourself and show others how to do the same
Have a series of check points along the way to map your progress
Stop when you achieve your objective
When you get somewhere, reward yourself and celebrate it with those who went on the journey with you - you deserve it! Now you are ready to go somewhere else, perhaps a little bit further. And so you continue with a new plan and a new objective.
