Thank you for your interest in Help Change Scottish Football.
You have an opportunity to be part of a new and radical initiative to help improve our game. Like all seeds, it must be continually nurtured and allowed time to grow. We hope you will participate in this process, as without you, there will be no process, and there will be no change.
Without change there will be no success.
Present Situation
As mentioned in the site's pages, the site is still very new and present priorities are to develop interest in the site to such a level that will determine if a more interactive site can become a viable option.
Help Change Scottish Football is a registered domain name and is presently hosted by Google Sites.
The present URL will be changed to www.helpchangescottishfootball.co.uk once the Search Engine registration process is complete. This is a slow process and could take several weeks. Until this is completed, the site cannot be found when browsing the web, nor can it be promoted using the registered domain name.
Until the registered domain name is available to the Search Engines, we request your assistance in promoting the site's existence by forwarding the present URL, http://sites.google.com/site/helpchangescottishfootball/, to as many people as possible.
At the moment, the site is somewhat rudimentary and can only provide information. It does not have links to database facilities, other associated sites, user registration or automatic emailing facilities, etc, etc. There are limitations on how far these facilities can be developed using the present web host and if interest in the site increases to sufficient levels, it will be necessary to re-launch the site, in a new form, with a new host.
Developing all this, and making Help Change Scottish Football more representative and effective will be a slow process and patience from all interested parties is greatly appreciated.
Next Steps
1. Continued development of the existing site to reflect contributions by site visitors
As this is carried out, the Help Change Scottish Football site will still be limited to information only and still dependent the site's community to promote site awareness. It is important to stress the embryonic nature of the site and that aims and content will likewise develop as the site grows.
2. Assess feasibility of setting up a more interactive, functional site
As the site is presently not funded, normal market research methods are unavailable to Help Change Scottish Football therefore, information critical to this feasibility is the voting system for the Change Initiatives listed on the site. If nothing else, people should be encouraged to vote for at least one initiative.
Voting on these initiatives is an indicator of likely levels of support for future site development which has implications of a logistical, financial and legal nature that clearly cannot be handled at this stage therefore, the voting page will be continually available to all new visitors.
Future Plans
Help Change Scottish Football will only be able to function if other people can share the site administration and co-ordination therefore, an essential and an early part of the site's development will have to be focused on this need.
Becoming an effective online community is also an essential first development to making Help Change Scottish Football become an influential voice on behalf of it's supporters.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
