Most people will tell you that Scottish football is a poor product, but that is a point of view and is it strictly accurate?
A midweek January match between Hamilton Academicals FC and Dundee United FC with only one goal for the away team, would seem to support this. Even the harshest of critics would have been hard pressed not to have admitted, that the standard of play was actually almost as good as many televised games in the English Premier League.
Passing, ball control and movement were all good and the Hamilton keeper brought of at least 10 saves in the first half alone that would have had Old Trafford fans out of their seats but at New Douglas Park there was hardly a murmur from an attendance of 2033.
So are you one of those people that football has alienated and driven away from the game. Maybe you are exactly the type of person that Scottish Clubs should be trying harder to attract back.
So it’s really down to that fact that the Clubs don’t ….. don’t what?
Only you know the answer. You are the one who has decided to boycott Scottish football but if you sit on the fence in silent protest, how are things going to improve for the better?
So do something about it other than talking to people who can’t help you, take it up with the people who can do something about it.
If those that run the game don’t know why they are driving supporters away and if people like you don’t tell them, then the reason why you don’t go to matches football isn’t because of them, it’s because of you.
Even you can Help Change Scottish Football by just being there but there is a whole lot more you can do by becoming involved.
