Welcome to Help Change Scottish Football a website dedicated to promoting support for changes in the Scottish game.

Since this site started, a constant theme has been to challenge people to challenge themselves as ask what they can do to Help Change Scottish Football by addressing three areas of strategic importance for the game’s future. These areas are:

• • Change In The Governing Body Structure

  • Youth Development

  • Community Development

Although we have Youth Development there is widespread consensus that it is not working effectively.

Likewise with Community Development, there is cross over and confusion about how clubs should engage with their local communities, either for coaching or forging ties with supporters.

The result is fragmentation and isolation.

Is it any wonder that people look to the Governing Bodies to sort this mess out?

Is it therefore a surprise that this level of interest is reflected in pages viewed most frequently on this site?

Of course not and you don’t have to be a member of Mensa to figure it out.

To that end, the focus of this site must remain on the Governing Body question.

Help Change Scottish Football will continue to challenge others but this is in the form of the downloadable document ‘A Cry For Help’.

Also available are documents ‘Corporate Governance – A Framework’ and ‘The Change Ahead’, both of which have been sent to the SFA. Visit Downloads.

Whether or not you are actively involved with a club or with some other aspect of the game, or even if you no longer attend matches, you can still Help Change Scottish Football.

We hope that the site content stimulates debate and encourages people to give more thought to how they can make a difference. You may have your own views however, and you can submit any comments or suggestions using Contact Details.

Look out for changes in the main menu that reflect these changes are the new initiative at Change Initiatives.
