Homecoming "Court" took on a whole new meaning Saturday morning as the the JV girls hosted an invitational at Jacobs and DC. With key contributions from all players and a dramatic come-from-behind third set championship victory for Shelley Seong, the race for the team title was knotted in a three-way tie between Jacobs, Maine South, and Fenwick, with just three matches to play. Maine South topped Fenwick in the first doubles championship to edge in front, but Jacobs answered back, pulling even thanks to a dominant championship match from Kori Kent and Caroline Bayer. Across the river, sophomore Morgan Vachio was locked in the deciding match, trailing in the championship match to Fenwick's top singles player. Storming back to capture the second set 6-4, she then remained strong in the 3rd set tie-breaker capturing the first singles championship and clinching the team title with a 10-6 win. Awesome job girls!
