Active Jacobs Alumnae

We were fortunate to have had the direct support of many of our alumni tennis players, from standout Kristin Chamberlain (’01), to state qualifiers from the '05, '06, '07, and '08 squads, to an extremely active group of members from our more recent graduating classes. They have provided our girls not only with technical instruction, but with motivation, support, and an enduring sense of family. Although many of our outstanding former Golden Eagles’ tennis players remain active on the court through club and intramural programs, each of the young women listed below has continued her competitive careers as a member of her school’s varsity tennis program.

Kylie Skepnek ('18) University of Southern Indiana

An unprecedented FIVE sport varsity athlete at Jacobs (Fall: Tennis & Dance. Winter: Dance & Indoor Track. Spring: Track.), Kylie continues her tennis career as a USI Screaming Eagle. The three-time FVC Doubles Champion, two time state qualifier, Northwest Herald Player of the Year award winner and All-State honoree, is now set for what will undoubtedly be an outstanding collegiate career.

Ramya Nissankula ('19) Illinois Institute of Technology

Ramya, who compiled a 90-23 varsity record, handful of FVC titles, and an MVP award her senior year, left her mark on Golden Eagles Tennis not only as a tremendous doubles player, but, more importantly, as a leader of outstanding character and humility. Though she initially hadn't planned to continue competing at the next level, Ramya found her way to the courts her freshman year where she was extended an offer to join the team at IIT.
