After two straight weekends of rain-cancellations, the Golden Eagles finally took to the courts for some Labor Day action in the Northwest Suburbs. At Palatine, the Varsity Reserve fought hard in matches with Huntley, Maine South, and Palatine while, at Rolling Meadows, the Frosh-Soph knocked off Downer's Grove South and Schaumburg before falling in a close match to Rolling Meadows.

The Varsity squad, meanwhile, competed in the always challenging Fremd Invitational. The team was led by stellar performances by Haley Steinkamp, who dispatched the 3rd and 2nd seeded players to reach the finals at first singles, Katie Toomire and Kylie Skepnek at first doubles, who did likewise to earn a spot in the championship match, and freshman Lindsay Cunningham, who rolled through the field at third singles, losing only six games in three matches to take the top spot.
