Phone System Implementation
Goal
Launch VOIP in the Cloud solution--which will replace all current VOIP phones, as well as other phones--with a vendor-hosted VOIP solution on July 1, 2015 for the 2015-2016 school year. Read the Executive Summary (only available to ECISD staff) for more details.
TIMELINE
To prepare, several steps have to be taken including the following:
COMPLETE - Step 1 - Obtain an accurate network drop count in areas where there are phones now in the District.

COMPLETE - Step 2 - Submit the Texas ePlan.
When: June 24, 2014 (needs to be done prior to June 30, 2014)

Step 3 - Craft and release a Request for Quotes (RFQ) to be available through September-October
Prepare a draft for review including Coop expectations (e.g. DIR, BuyBoard, etc.).

Step 4 - Make vendor selection and recommend solution to the School Board.

Step 5 - Submit Form 471 for eRate purposes in January-March, 2015 period.
