Campus Logistics for Equipment Delivery and Removal
Campus Logistics for Equipment Removal & Delivery
PROCESSING EQUIPMENT - Technicians
- ECTO Team members will do a walkthrough placing stickers on equipment for what is to be deleted and what is going to stay on campus.
- “Red” or “Orange” stickers will signify delete (e.g. broken) - These are computers that are unable to run Windows 7 or higher, or are obsolete due to their hardware age. In computer labs, that is computers that will be older than 5 years of age by 2015-2016 school year. Any nComputing units will also need to be replaced with full CPUs.
- “Yellow” for Tech4Hornets (e.g. preference given to certain models/types: all PC laptops with their power cables, white Macbooks with their power cables, netbooks with their power cables, Optiplex 360 or 380 w/keyboard and mouse).
- “Green” will signify keep on campus (e.g. Windows 7 or Mac OS 10.7 or greater).
- Warehouse staff will pick up Tech4Hornet equipment and deliver to EC Technology Operations to be placed in the ECTO storage area.
- Technicians will set up and install new equipment in the rooms designated.
ON CAMPUS - Campus Technology Coordinators
- Campus Technology Coordinators (CTCs)--with the help of custodial staff or staff designated by Principals--will remove equipment to a designated area on campus of their choosing. This is a request by the Warehouse to facilitate pickup.
- All old equipment will need to be removed from its current location prior to new equipment deliveries in 2015-2016.
- All obsolete classroom equipment will need to be removed by the end of September, 2015.
- Campus Technology Coordinators (CTCs) will do the Inventory Up-Date Form (a.k.a.” Long Sheet”) deletion paperwork for deleted equipment and submit it to Karen Martini in the Purchasing Dept. (Phone# 648-7861). Karen has asked that the deletion paperwork be completely filled out with the type of computer, district asset tag number, and the serial number.
- Campus Technology Coordinators (CTCs) will submit an online form identifying with room numbers and the number of computers per room for removal of obsolete equipment.
