SAM Data Specifications and Instructions

An automated nightly upload to SAM for K-8 grade. I have attached a copy of the template named CsvTemplate. The first 9 columns need to be completed.

• Column A) User name uses the EC technology naming convention
• Column B) Password is the student ID # (6 digits starting with 0)
• Column D) First name
• Column E) Last Name
• Column F) Grade
• Column G) Campus
• Column H) Class Name (Calvin and I created a naming convention). I don't have notes on it with me, but that convention can be used or we can use the following: first 6 character teacher's last name + first 4 characters of teacher's first name + P and period #
• e.g. HulberJonaP1
• e.g GuhlinMiguP8

When accomplishing the initial upload, two templates were created--one for the Reading teachers and a second file for the Math teachers. That way both teachers (and their classes) were linked.
