Instructional Technology Specialist

  1. Provide leadership and technical expertise to district personnel in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of effective instructional technology.
  2. Identify technology proficiencies of teachers, support staff, and administrators, develop training to address identified needs, and implement training to meet those needs.
  3. Participate in the development and implementation of comprehensive staff development plan.
  4. Coordinate the writing of curriculum for technology programs and monitor the instructional process in all content areas using technology.
  5. Disseminate information regarding current research and significant developments in technology education at the state and national level.
  6. Develop and implement a continuing evaluation of the instructional technology program and implement changes based on the findings.
  7. Serve as a liason to outside vendors that provide support for technology equipment and materials.
  8. Assist in the development of policies and procedures regarding technology issues.
  9. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy in the area of instructional technology.
  10. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the district technology plan.
  11. Collaborate with district staff on development of STaR Charts and other information for submittal of eRate
  12. Collaborate with district technology staff related to all aspects of technology.
