- Train and supervise district technology staff
- Supervise purchase and installation of computer hardware and software
- Coordinate effective functioning of technology with campus technology
coordinators
- Oversee district technology inventories for district/campuses
- Oversee district/campus requests for repairs/issues to address
- Manage records of district software purchases, including license agreements
- Support integrity and operation of district data bases
- Oversee district technology budget appropriate to job functions
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems on PC-compatible and Macintosh computers
- Assist in management of district and campus data networks
- Support online grading and attendance system
- Assist in providing training to ECISD administrators, teachers and staff
- Support District designated e-mail system
- Support Technology based academic and business programs
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures regarding technology issues
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule and local board policy on the area of instructional technology
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the district technology plan
- Collaborate with district staff on development of Star Charts and other information for submittal of E-rate
- Collaborate with district technology staff related to all aspects of technology
- Other duties as assigned
