Notes and comments : There are no references on the Canford or Longfleet TA maps to a windmill place name in this area. However Ogilby's Oxford to Poole of 1675 (plate 83) road map shows a windmill to the eastern side of Poole.

The windmill appears to be at Fleet's Bridge approximately 1.25 miles from Poole town and is shown to the north of Bushells Mill (a watermill). M J Way lists this windmill as being at Creekmoor. The Salisbury Journal of 26th May 1755 records Crickborne Mill (Israel Dunford) Poole burnt down.
