I am a great believer in making research freely available for everyone and do not like the practice of claiming copyright for the use of this or any primary or secondary sources.
However, not everyone has this ethos - there is a website on Portland that has used my research on the Portland mills and a published booklet "Poole Mills" * that has done so for the Poole windmills. I emailed both of these so called researchers but have had no reply from either of these (Dec 2023) - why I am not surprised !
* this author has even claimed copyright of his book's material !
