Smith & Chenoweth Branch

Introduction

The Smith Branch is a bit of a mystery as I do not know who the parents of Charles G Smith are at this time; I have touched based with other researchers of this line but so far we have had no luck. The Chenoweth Branch is well researched and I look forward to adding to that.

Rebecca Probate & Death

In the Ohio, Probate Records, 1789-1996 collection at FamilySearch009 the documents in the table below can be found:

Rebecca was declared an imbecileW01 in 1880008c but settlement records indicate payments to various family members for board over the years so my conclusion is that she never entered an institution.

Rebecca died between March 4, 1891 and June 15, 1892.008q,008r There seems to be come confusion around Rebecca's death. According to the Chenoweth Family Site Rebecca died on December 25, 1891 in South Charleston, Clark, Ohio.C02 There is a Rebecca Smith from Ohio that died December 25, 1891 on findagrave but her grave marker says wife of H. Smith and her age at death was 65Y 5M 16D; definitely not the right Rebecca.F01
