Analysis

This document is a passenger list for the S. S. Cymric and includes three family members of interest: Maren Kristine Jacobsen, and her children Hans Jurgen & Kamilla (aka Millie). Hans and Mille's surname at the time would have been Lundvald or Lundwill but it likely that information was not collected as ditto marks were used assuming that they went by the same surname as their mother. Maren is listed as age 47 years and 6 months; Hans is listed as age 19 years and 6 months; and Millie is listed as age 9 years and 4 months. Their occupations are listed as: wife, farmer, and child respectively. Their nationality is listed as Danish and their race as Scandinavian. Their last residence is listed as Haarby, Denmark; and their final destination is listed as Estella, Oklahoma. It says they have never been in the United States before and that they are going to join C. Jacobsen (aka Christian); husband/father.

According to this document the S. S. Cymric sailed from Liverpool, England on the 5th of May 1904; and according to Ancestry it arrived in Boston, Massachusetts on the 14th of May 1904.

It is not know where the family members originally started their journey as according to Ancestry: "It is important to note that the port of departure listed on these passenger lists is not always the original port of departure for these individuals. A ship could make several voyages throughout the year, making several stops along the way. Oft times the port of departure found on these lists is the most recent port the ship was located at prior to arriving at the port of Boston. Therefore, if your ancestors emigrated to the U.S. from Germany, they could be found on a passenger list coming from Liverpool, England (if, in this case, the ship left from Bremen, Germany then continued on to Liverpool, England before arriving in Boston)."1
