Isabella Forbes died July 21, 1895 in Polmont, Stirlingshire, Scotland;^{R003,R004,R005} her obituary was published in the Falkirk Herald on July 27, 1895^R004; and a Memoriam was published in the Falkirk Herald on July 29, 1899 the following words were included: "Sadly we miss her, yet in our sorrow Hope for the future can banish the pain; Faith points a way to a brighter hereafter, And whispers a hope we shall meet her again."^R005

In Polmont Old Parish Church there is a marker that reads "1851 THE BURYING PLACE OF ANDREW ERSKINE ELISABETH TURNBULL AND THEIR CHILDREN".^E04

The probate for Andrew Erskine "late of Crosshall in the Parish of Polmont in the County of Stirling" says he "died 17 July 1851 at Crosshall"; it also mentions his child James Erskine.^E05

A - Not sure if applied to Heaps family in 1841 Census^T014 regarding ages: "For persons between the ages of-- 25 and 30 write 25" - http://www.talkingscot.com/censuses/census-1841.htm

B - Birth Record^T103 shows birth date of 12 Mar 1824 for Hugh but that would have been 10 years before his parents were married; I suspect it was a transcription error and should actually be 1834. This fact is supported by him being age 24 when he married in 1858.^R103

E - Alexander Forbes was born in Stirlingshire, Scotland according to Census records;^{T012,T013,T101,T102} and his parents were listed on his death record;^R102 but I cannot find him on ScotlandsPeople.SP101
