On this page I will share the information that I have found on the the Peebles branch of the family. Uncle Sandy - Excerpt from letter by Aileen Carter circa 1988: "Aunt Jean married Alexander Banks - Uncle Sandy. I like Uncle Sandy because he was always so jovial and entertaining to me as child. He was the chauffeur/gardener for a Spanish family who escaped from the Spanish Civil war. He had similar jobs before that time. Pam and I would play with the Spanish boys and they had the most magnificent home and gardens, Uncle Sandy would take me "round the block" in the Rolls Royce. I would sit up in the back seat and feel like a princess!"026
